Bead Riot Atelier didn’t begin with a business plan.

It began with colour — unruly, insistent, emotional colour.

I started stringing gemstones in a moment where I needed to feel something grounding. Something real. Something that wasn’t mass-produced or algorithm-made. Gemstones have an honesty to them: they are ancient, imperfect, powerful, and unapologetically themselves. I couldn’t help but see a reflection of all the women I admired — expressive, layered, soft in some places and fierce in others.

The first pieces I created weren’t meant for anyone else. They were simply mine — a way of reconnecting to creativity, to wonder, to rebellion. Then friends started asking. Then strangers started asking. And slowly, quietly, Bead Riot Atelier revealed itself.

Bead Riot became a home for my obsession with gemstones:

The electric blue of lapis lazuli, the cotton-candy blush of morganite, the sea-dream softness of amazonite, the fire of agate, the soulful depth of sapphire and the luminescence of pearls.

I realised that jewellery didn’t need to whisper — it could roar softly. It could be delicate without being timid. Luxurious without being predictable. Emotional without being sentimental.

From day one, I decided on two things:

1. Every piece must be made by hand, with intention.

No shortcuts. No soulless production lines.

Just real gemstones, real craftsmanship, and real feeling.

2. Bead Riot must honour individuality, not trends.

My customers don’t want what everyone else is wearing — they want pieces that express a mood, a moment, a feeling that might not fit neatly into a category.
